4:30 pm: Trail Love - Buckhorn Rock and Tread repair

August 16, 2022

Trail Love work on Buckhorn FS 776. Join MWTA to continue improvements on the lower section of Buckhorn. We'll be using rock paving/tread hardening, rubble walls and tread shaping, as well as working other improvements. Work will be fairly strenuous and technical including rock work.

Please signup for free with this link

Participants should come prepared with water, lunch/snacks, hard toe/sturdy footwear, long pants, work gloves, eye protection/sunglasses, raingear, clothing layers, and a backpack to carry these personal items.

If arriving by car, park at the upper gold camp (newly paved) lot that is the bottom of Buckhorn, and walk approximately .75 miles to work site at the Buckhorn trailhead. Parking is always tricky up there so feel free to carpool or ride instead!

We'll start work at 430pm from the trailhead so if walking in, plan to arrive 20 minutes early.
