Join MedWheel and neighbors in creating a short singletrack trail connector between Mesa Ave at Walnut, south climbing above Bristol school, along the El Paso Canal and into Mesa Reservoir #2 open space.

Prepare for Colorado weather. Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Here are our guidelines to join as a volunteer. Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates seek passionate trail users of any ability to join our team! All styles of riding as well as non-riders who share a passion for our mission are welcome. MWTA works with a committee structure: Most committees meet once a month, with tasks completed between meetings as your schedule allows. We need help with all our committees. We’re particularly seeking these competencies & experience: Grantwritng, Fundraising Branded material (swag) management Graphic Design Event Management Social media content curation Newsletter Crew leading & training Trail building & design Photography & video production Nonprofit/volunteer/leadership Project management Connections to current or future partner organizations: - User groups (especially hiking & trail running) - Friends groups - groups that care for city, county, regional & state parks - Riding groups & Clubs - Schools - Military - Faith-based orgs - Diversity focused org - Land managers, CSU To join our board - contact us to find the best committee for you, and join as a volunteer for 3 months. After that time you may apply to join the board. All board members sign an agreement with MWTA that outlines expectations for board members AND the organization. 20 5:30 pm: Trail Love - Buckhorn - part 2 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm June 20, 2023 Buckhorn Trail Maintenance- About this event We will be performing repairs to the Buckhorn trail, near the lower trailhead. The work will be narrowing the trail, stabilizing the tread and installing gargoyles to prevent future widening of the trail. More information can be found here. Register directly here. 22 8:30 am: Trail Love - Chamberlain trail in North Cheyenne Canyon 8:30 am – 2:00 pm June 22, 2023 Construction & enhancement of rolling grade reversals and drain cleanouts on a section of Chamberlain that goes SOUTH from the bottom of the Chutes, above Gold Camp reservoir. This is a section of Chamberlain that was constructed by MedWheel 8 years ago and hasn't had (or needed) much repair work. To support the priorities of the Park Ranger in that area we will give it a tuneup, while improving the experience. 24 7:30 am: Trail Love - Monument trail 715, USFS work 7:30 am – 4:00 pm June 24, 2023 Please join MedWheel and partners, the Colorado Mountain Club, for trail repairs to 715. Most of this work will be rerouting an eroded section of 715 above the (upper) crossing of Mt Herman road. We will be constructing drains and new trail tread.
