1:00 pm: Trail Love- Cresta Bike Park Tune Up

September 28, 2022

Cresta Open Space, adjacent to Skyway Elementary School, contains one of our community's newest bike facilities - the Cresta pumptrack and skills course. Cresta was opened in July of this year, and now that it's had some rain, riding and some settling time, it's due for a tune-up.

This Trail Love day will focus on:

1. Vegetation management - installing veg matting and seeding the sides of the dirt track. Removing harmful vegetation from fall zones

2. Tread cleanup - minor repairs to the skills track. Conditioning, watering, shaping of the tread surface of the pumptrack

3. Drainage management - mods and repairs to drains throughout the pumptrack.

All necessary tools and instructions will be provided. Please prepare for Colorado weather. Bring water and snacks, we will have water to fill your camelback. Long pants, sturdy closed-toes boots always recommended for Trail Love.

Please use this link to register for Cresta.
