Our visionary business partners are a part of our foundation. They share our values and recognize the importance of MWTA’s mission in our community, and to their customers and employees. Through their financial support, these leaders have embraced their role on the MWTA team that builds shares and protects great trail experiences.
Together, in the 2020 Indy Give! campaign these partners have provided a total of $17.5K in matching grants, to be applied to individual donations during the Nov-Dec 2020 campaign.
Colorado Development Center
SRAM was founded based on a dream to create an efficient, fast and fun experience on a bicycle. Today, SRAM is a global team of people committed to inspiring trail experiences. The Colorado Development Center, home to the RockShox teams that design, prototype and test the world’s best mountain bike suspension, has been MWTA’s largest and most consistent supporter since the RockShox office moved to Colorado in 2001.
Since opening their doors in 1973, Criterium has become the largest independently owned bike shop in Colorado Springs. With over 40 years of experience serving cyclists, they have become the go to place for all your cycling needs. Criterium is both a returning Give! matching grantor, and a member of MWTA’s Advocacy Committee.
A loyal MWTA business partner, ProCyling was a major supporter of the Lake Moraine Trail, and has provided crucial support for trails at every opportunity. With 2 locations, highly qualified staff, and a vast selection of Specialized, Santa Cruz, Yeti, Moots, Orbea and more, ProCycling will get you on the trail to fun.
Fossil Craft Beer Company
Fossil Brewing Company was created 2013 by five friends crazy about craft beer, and since opening has consistently been a partner of MWTA and other trail organizations. Fossil finds inspiration in the local community as well as Colorado’s rich history – dating back to the time of the dinosaurs! Located adjacent to Red Rock Canyon OS south of highway 24, they are in the perfect spot for a tasty post-ride refreshment. In 2020 the brewery expanded this location to increase production and additional space for you to to enjoy their beverages.
Trails End Taproom
Also adjacent to Red Rock Canyon, we think Trails End is the premiere pour-your-own taphouse in the state, and a perfect place for MWTA committee meetings. TETR was been voted best taproom in Colorado Springs in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and has been a business partner of MWTA all of those years – coincidence? We think not….. Join MWTA at TrailBlazers group rides, Wednesdays in summer, Saturdays in winter.
Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort
Buffalo Lodge is your basecamp for adventure, located next to Garden of the Gods with easy access to Manitou Springs, Red Rock Canyon OS, and the Midland trail. In 2016, our good friend Torie purchased this historic motel and began the conversion to a Bike-themed resort. Along the way, Club Buff has consistently supported MWTA and cycling culture. The lodge has been the location for many a bike-themed gathering, including MWTA’s annual season-ending celebration, the Hootenanny.
Routes Outfitter opened in spring 2020, just as the demand for bike rentals and service exploded in our world. They immediately stepped up to serve the community, and built a partnership with MWTA. Check them out for rentals of sweet Revel, Guerilla Gravity or Mondraker bikes, and count on them when you need expert service.
This year’s match is Flowride’s first official Give! support for MWTA but they got a mention in our 2019 campaign. We first cooperation with Shea and his team last year on the Chutes reroute, when they constructed the trail that MWTA and partners designed & cleared. The top 2 big rock berms and burly rock garden on the right were added by Flowride thanks to funds provided by MWTA. This year we cooperated with them again, for an a new section of trail in Palmer Park used in this year’s Apex MTB stage race. We’re glad to recognize the team at Flowride for their expert eye and ability to create trail experiences that inspire us. More cooperation to come!
