Cory Sutela

Executive Director

Cory is a native of Alberta, Canada, where he grew up with a passion for skiing, hiking and cycling.

Cory moved to the Pikes Peak Region in 2004 to work in as a test engineer for a bicycle component manufacturer. He chose the Pikes Peak region because of the abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. He lives with his wife Andrea, a Springs native, in Manitou Springs.
Dr. Sutela has served on several community volunteer boards including the Trails and Open Space Coalition, COS Parks SuperFriends, Bike Colorado Springs, Bear Creek Roundtable and the Ped & Cycle group of Manitou (PaC-Man).  He is familiar with all aspects of MedWheel operations, and has volunteered as a crew leader, trail designer, events coordinator, partnership manager, advocacy chair and liaison with land managers and other user groups.
As Executive Director his responsibility is to ensure that MedWheel has the structure, funding, and volunteer workforce needed to sustain and grow the organization, and advance our mission.
