Mike has a long history with bikes. He and his wife have ridden across Arizona three times and completed a number state tours. More recently, he discovered mountain bikes and became hooked. While working for a small town in Arizona, he co-founded a chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (Desert Foothills Mountain Bike Association) and developed a mountain bike race to support open space land acquisition. Having run for more than 15 years, the Cave Creek Cactus Classic is an iconic mountain bike race through scenic Sonoran Desert which draws racers from all over the country.

Mike is a past member of the Board of MedWheel has led or contributed to dozens of our successful projects including design, construction, maintenance and funding for trails throughout the region.
